For the second consecutive year, AGMC, the official importer of BMW Group vehicles in Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates, partnered with the World Green Economy Summit (WGES) as its official sustainable transportation provider.
Organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the summit convened over 3,000 delegates and 80 global speakers from 31 countries at Dubai World Trade Centre. Leaders, policymakers, and industry experts gathered to chart pathways toward a low-carbon economy and explore innovations driving sustainable urban transformation.
For AGMC, the partnership deepens a relationship with DEWA spanning nearly a decade. Since 2017, the company has consistently supported WGES by providing transport solutions and showcasing BMW’s advances in sustainable mobility. This year, AGMC deployed a fleet of 40 chauffeured BMW vehicles, including the newly launched all-electric BMW i5 and the flagship BMW i7, ensuring seamless mobility for speakers and delegates throughout the two-day forum.
Dr. Hamid Haqparwar, CEO of BMW Group brands at AGMC, framed the partnership as both continuation and evolution. “Our collaboration with the World Green Economy Summit reflects our commitment to supporting the UAE’s leadership in sustainable development,” he said.
“By providing cutting-edge BMW electric vehicles and contributing to the country’s charging infrastructure, we’re helping define what mobility looks like in a cleaner, smarter future.”

Beyond logistics, the collaboration showcased BMW’s philosophy that performance and sustainability are complementary rather than competing values. The BMW i5 and i7, emblems of the brand’s electric era, unite high efficiency with the comfort and craftsmanship that define BMW’s heritage, proving that sustainable transport can be both aspirational and responsible.
AGMC’s involvement also mirrors the UAE’s emergence as a global hub for sustainable innovation. The World Green Economy Summit has become one of the region’s premier platforms for climate dialogue, aligning with Dubai’s ambition to lead as a green economy by 2050. By integrating BMW’s advanced electric mobility solutions into the event, AGMC transformed summit ideals into tangible experience, mobility as living proof of concept.
As global cities accelerate their transition to electric transport, AGMC’s long-term strategy continues to align with the BMW Group’s global sustainability framework. This encompasses investment in electric infrastructure, partnerships advancing road safety and technology innovation, and ongoing collaboration with local authorities, including Dubai Police.
Nearly 50 years since its founding, AGMC remains one of BMW Group’s most significant markets in the region. Its participation in events like WGES underscores the company’s dual identity as both automotive leader and sustainability partner. In an era where environmental stewardship increasingly defines luxury, AGMC’s contribution signals how the next generation of driving experiences will seamlessly merge performance, design, and responsibility.
