Riyadh Set to Host Riyadh Music Week 2025

Riyadh is preparing to host one of the most significant music and cultural programmes the Kingdom has ever staged. Riyadh Music Week 2025 (RMW25), announced by the Saudi Music Commission, will take place from 4–13 December, transforming the capital into a global meeting point for music and cross-sector innovation.

Conceived as a citywide platform, RMW25 is not a traditional festival. It is a strategic cultural initiative, designed to accelerate the Kingdom’s music ecosystem, expand international collaboration, and position Riyadh as a fast-rising global creative hub.

A Week That Brings the Global Music Industry to Riyadh

With headline partnerships including SRMG and MDLBEAST, the programme will activate the city with performances, conferences, policy forums, and creative community events across heritage sites, art districts, cafes, hotels, and cultural venues. The intention is clear: to make music accessible across the city while creating a genuine exchange between local and international communities.

Major international summits, including the International Music Managers Forum, Music Makers Summit, XP Music Futures, and a diverse schedule of open-call Fringe events, will anchor the programme. These gatherings bring together global executives, educators, technologists, producers, artists, and policymakers in conversations that look beyond performance, toward viable, sustainable industry growth.

An Open Invitation Platform

According to Paul Pacifico, CEO of the Music Commission, RMW25 serves as an open invitation to the world: “a place where global and local voices meet… a platform defined by cultural exchange and shared creativity.” The event is designed around four pillars: talent, scene, impact, and innovation, each intended to produce measurable outcomes for Saudi Arabia’s expanding music sector.

This includes:

  • Strengthening music education
  • Creating new commercial opportunities
  • Supporting career pathways for Saudi musicians and industry professionals
  • Advancing policy frameworks that foster long-term creative and economic development

The Music Commission’s vision is not event-led; it is ecosystem-led. RMW25 is part of a broader national strategy to build a sustainable creative economy aligned with the Kingdom’s cultural ambitions under Vision 2030.

More Than an Event

Beyond the headline stages and summits, the week will introduce music tech showcases, cross-sector collaborations, and interactive programming designed to engage the next generation, from schools and universities to emerging creators and cultural entrepreneurs. The emphasis is on accessibility: not simply delivering performances, but creating opportunities for participation.

Riyadh Music Week 2025 arrives at a moment when Saudi Arabia’s cultural influence is rapidly expanding. With strong institutional backing, international partnerships, and an inclusive, future-focused agenda, RMW25 is poised to become one of the region’s most significant cultural markers, a week that brings the world to Riyadh and amplifies the voices shaping its creative future.

Further details, including venues and registration, will be released through the Music Commission’s official channels in the coming weeks.
