Sole DXB 2025 Returns With Its Most Ambitious Cultural Programme Yet

Sole DXB has always existed at the intersection of fashion, music, sport, and art. But this year, the region’s most globally recognised cultural festival prepares to stage its most expansive edition to date, a three-day takeover of Dubai Design District (d3) that pushes the boundaries of what a contemporary festival can be.

From 12–14 December 2025, the district transforms into a curated micro-city of creativity, with extended hours running late into the night, four distinct stages, and a programme that feels more like a cultural atlas than an event schedule. This is Sole DXB at its most layered, most diverse, and most internationally connected.

A Festival Built on Culture

What sets Sole apart is its ability to capture the cultural temperature of the region while remaining deeply global. This year’s edition brings together a compelling mix of returning icons and first-time collaborators: from QASIMI’s immersive installation with artist Dala Nasser to TALABAT’s nostalgia-driven arcade, Humantra’s global product reveal, and Fujifilm x TA’YO’s profound study on street photography and cultural memory.

Fashion houses, beauty innovators, artists, athletes, emerging designers, community platforms, and culinary pioneers are collectively creating a programme that moves between intimacy and scale, tradition and experimentation.

Music Without Borders

Sole DXB has built its identity on sound, and the 2025 lineup captures the full spectrum of global influence. The Main Stage moves from R&B to afro-electronic to hip-hop; Stage Two expands into world, jazz, soul, indie, and dance with its Sole Sound System signature; PATRÓN introduces La Hacienda, a new space celebrating regional talent; and PowerHorse curates three days of high-energy DJ sets, movement, and dance-driven experiences.

Headline moments include performances by Kaytranada, Tyla, and Miguel, supported by a powerful roster of international and regional artist – from Lil Yachty and Loyle Carner to Tinariwen, KR$NA, Raftaar, Zeyne, and Shabjdeed & Al Nather.

Fashion, Art, and Design as Story

If music sets the mood, fashion and design define the festival’s soul. Rather than straightforward showcasing, brands present narrative-driven installations:

• SOLE x Fred Perry: Racquet Club — a fusion of sport, identity, and British subculture.
• ATLAL FROM GALBI — a domestic, memory-filled space rooted in Algerian storytelling.
• Absent Findings: Early to the Party — a sculptural study in draping and form.
• Congo Clothing Company — an invitation into a textile-focused workshop that blends fashion and sustainability.
• AOTA’s KEEP YOUR FLOWERS — an introspective botanical installation.
• KAYALI Café — a fragrance-led sensory environment.
• ASICS SportStyle After Party — a movement-driven homage to Japanese culture.

Even the Marketplace by Sole evolves this year, spotlighting emerging designers and small independent labels.

The Middle Eastern Social Rhythm

Across Elevated, Discovery, and Local Heroes food zones, the festival brings together fine dining, cult favourites, and local gems. The selection reflects a key element of Sole’s DNA: culture experienced through taste, movement, and social gathering.

From The Maine and Varak to Eleven Green and Mama Fri, each concept serves a different facet of the region’s culinary personality.

A Festival That Has Become a Cultural Institution

Sole DXB is no longer simply an event. It is a regional institution, a platform recognised by global fashion and music authorities as one of the most influential creative ecosystems in the Middle East. Its ability to attract more than 38,000 attendees from over 85 countries (2024 figures) while preserving its community-led ethos is a rare balance achieved only by those who understand culture from the inside out.

The 2025 edition, with its deeper collaborations, wider programming, and late-night hours, marks a new chapter in that evolution where every corner of d3 becomes an active part of the story.
