Dubai’s brunch scene is set for another bold chapter as The Red Affair makes its return on Saturday 13 September. Hosted at folly Brasserie at Address Montgomerie, the quarterly series once again pairs the culinary creativity of folly with the legendary Australian wine label Penfolds. After a sold-out debut earlier this year, the second edition promises even more flair, flavour, and fine pours.

A Celebration in Red

Nestled within the greenery of Emirates Hills, folly Brasserie transforms into a buzzing glasshouse of red hues, live entertainment, and the unmistakable energy of Dubai’s most vibrant brunch crowd. With a singer and DJ performing classics and crowd-pleasers, the afternoon is designed as much for foodies and wine lovers as for brunch-goers looking for a fresh take on the city’s most popular weekend ritual.

Penfolds Champagne at the Heart

From 1PM to 4PM, guests are invited to indulge in a curated menu paired with free-flowing Penfolds Cuvée Brut NV Champagne. Created in partnership with Champagne Thiénot, the blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay reflects Penfolds’ pioneering spirit, offering freshness on the nose and lively vibrancy on the palate. Alongside champagne, brunch also features premium wine pairings from Penfolds’ celebrated Koonunga Hill collection.

A Menu Designed for Sharing

The Red Affair opens with indulgent starters to share, from freshly shucked oysters and folly’s signature chips with herb emulsion to braised beef beignet with fresh truffle and rich beef tartare crowned with a confit egg yolk. Lighter options, including Dorset crab with apple and cucumber and heirloom tomato with stracciatella, balance the opening courses with fresh, seasonal notes.

The centrepiece arrives with two signature mains designed for the table — a perfectly executed beef Wellington with thyme and red wine jus, and roast monkfish in a champagne caviar butter sauce. Sides such as creamy mash, broccolini with parmesan and pine nuts, and sautéed kale with hazelnut pesto complete the spread.

Desserts are a final flourish for sharing: baked chocolate with blood orange sorbet, white chocolate pavlova, olive oil ice cream with sourdough crisp, and a curated cheese trolley.

Extending the Afternoon

The indulgence doesn’t end when brunch does. From 4PM to 7PM, the celebration continues with the Penfolds Happy Hour, where Koonunga Hill Shiraz-Cabernet and Chardonnay are available by the glass or bottle. folly Brasserie’s own happy hour also runs during this time, featuring signature cocktails like the Infamous Folly Pop, Fleur de Martini, Fancy Glasshouse, and Fountain Highball.

Pricing and Packages

The Red Affair is priced at AED 450 per person for the alcoholic package, including three hours of free-flowing Penfolds champagne and wine pairings. For those preferring a non-alcoholic experience, the AED 350 package offers the same exceptional menu alongside premium alternatives.
