Sprayground Takes Flight at Dubai Airshow with 11-Meter Gold Helicopter Art Installation

Dubai’s skyline is no stranger to spectacle, but this November, something truly audacious will touch down at SkyView, Dubai Airshow 2025’s public festival, and that is an 11-meter gold helicopter crafted by Sprayground, the world’s leading travel fashion brand.

Known for transforming streetwear into art, Sprayground is debuting the golden rotorcraft as part of a larger fashion-meets-aviation installation, complete with a six-meter pop-up hangar showcasing the brand’s latest travel and fashion pieces. The activation marks one of the most talked-about highlights of this year’s Airshow that includes a fusion of art, design, and engineering that showcases how fashion can take flight.

The visionary behind the project is David BenDavid (DBD), the founder and creative force of Sprayground, whose work has long blurred the lines between street culture and luxury.

“At this year’s Dubai Airshow, I’m unveiling one of my most daring creations – an 11-meter gold helicopter connected to a six-meter pop-up shop,” said BenDavid. “This installation transforms the spirit of travel and exploration into a living experience, bringing our world of creativity, luxury, and style to life like never before.”

Positioned against the roar of fighter jets and the shimmer of Dubai’s desert skyline, the golden helicopter isn’t simply an exhibition piece, but an emblem of freedom and individuality. Inside, the connected pop-up hangar will display Sprayground’s newest luxury backpacks, travel bags, and statement accessories, allowing visitors to step into the brand’s universe of bold, futuristic design.

“Dubai celebrates design and self-expression in the same way we do,” BenDavid added. “It’s the perfect city for an activation that combines fashion, aviation, and imagination.”

Fresh from its London Fashion Week debut earlier this year, where Sprayground hosted its first UK runway show at the historic Freemasons’ Hall, the brand continues to prove its creative dominance on the international stage. That show, attended by names including Phoenix Brown, Jack Fox, Virginia Bates, and Roxy Horner, established Sprayground as more than a fashion label; it’s an evolving art movement.

From the brand’s early days and its now-iconic ‘Hello My Name Is’ backpack to today’s limited-edition collectible designs, Sprayground has built a cult following across fashion, music, and street culture. Today, it’s stocked in over 90 countries, with 105 mono-branded stores in China and retail partnerships in luxury department stores such as Galeries Lafayette, Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdale’s, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

In the GCC alone, Sprayground’s collections are available at more than 50 locations, including Tryano in Abu Dhabi and Printemps in Doha.

Set to be unveiled from November 17–21 at Dubai World Central, the 11-meter gold helicopter and pop-up hangar will serve as a glittering cue that luxury, in its boldest form, knows no boundaries.
