Al Habtoor Polo Resort is proud to announce an extraordinary new series of Candlelight Concerts at the stunning Andalucia Restaurant. The series opens on April 10th with a programme inspired by Édith Piaf and Antonio Vivaldi, before returning on May 9th with a tribute to the legendary Umm Kulthum and a journey through ‘A Century of Iconic Arabic Music’. Framed by the restaurant’s expansive atrium courtyard, where every note drifts beautifully through the space, and paired with an optional three-course dining experience, the evening promises a graceful interplay of music, atmosphere, and flavour.
Candlelight Concerts has quickly become a global phenomenon, selling out venues and attracting diverse audiences across major cities. Reimagining classical music, each experience brings together breathtaking settings, unmatched energy, the soft glow of candles, and a curated selection of famous songs performed like never before.
Setting the stage for two enchanting evenings, Andalucia Restaurant will be transformed into a sea of flickering candlelight, casting a warm glow that cascades down the curved staircase and settles gently across the space. Tucked within the atrium courtyard and framed by intricate arabesque mashrabiya screens, tables are thoughtfully arranged around a central stage, drawing every gaze toward the graceful musicians and creating an intimate atmosphere.
Once guests are seated, all eyes turn to the stage where the UAE’s premier classical ensemble, The Gulf String Quartet, brings the April 10th performance to life with two mesmerising hour-long sets. Beginning at 7:00pm, the programme pays homage to Édith Piaf, weaving together elegant string interpretations of her most beloved songs, including La Vie en Rose and Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien. Later at 9:00pm, the atmosphere shifts as the quartet moves into the timeless compositions of Antonio Vivaldi, guiding guests through some of the most enduring works in Baroque music.
Returning on May 9th, the evening takes on a different rhythm, opening at 7:00pm with a tribute to the legendary Umm Kulthum, where her most recognisable songs, including Enta Omri, Amal Hayati, and Al-Atlal, are reimagined through a live performance by MENA Band. Later at 9:00pm, the experience unfolds into ‘A Century of Iconic Arabic Music’, a rich musical journey celebrating the depth, emotion, and enduring legacy of the region’s most beloved sounds.
Adding another sensory layer to the Candlelight Concert, guests can choose to complement the performance with a refined three-course menu inspired by the shores of the Mediterranean. Available in two seatings following each performance, the dining experience continues the evening’s rhythm in a setting that feels both relaxed and quietly elevated. Set on the Equestrian Lounge Terrace, illuminated by thousands of candles, it offers the perfect finale to this unforgettable evening.
As candlelight flickers and the final notes linger, this is an experience designed to be felt as much as it is heard. Taking place across two carefully curated evenings at Al Habtoor Polo Resort’s Andalucia Restaurant, each performance brings a distinct story to life under candlelight. With limited seating, early reservations are encouraged.
