Milaidhoo Maldives marks Global Wellness Day 2026 with Dedicated Mindful Experiences

Milaidhoo Maldives invites guests to celebrate Global Wellness Day 2026 on 13th June and embrace its signature wellbeing philosophy centred on three interconnected pillars: food, physical balance and peace of mind.

Nestled within the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of the Baa Atoll, the intimate island sanctuary offers a setting where nature-led experiences, mindful nourishment and restorative practices come together to support holistic wellbeing.

Throughout the day, guests will be guided through a series of experiences designed to awaken gratitude, creativity, connection and movement, each reflecting Milaidhoo’s approach to wellbeing in harmony with nature and aligned with Global Wellness Day’s official theme, #JoyMagenta.

The morning begins with Gratitude on the Compass Pool Bar deck, where meditation and breathwork invite stillness and clarity. Mid-morning, Creativity unfolds at Serenity Spa with a DIY Spa workshop using natural island ingredients, celebrating sustainable self-care and the island’s commitment to local botanicals.

The afternoon focuses on Connection at the overwater Yoga Pavilion, where couple’s stretching and sound healing sessions encourage presence and emotional harmony. As evening approaches, Movement takes place during a sunset Vinyasa yoga flow on the beach, where breath, motion, and the rhythm of the ocean come together.

Throughout the experience, Milaidhoo’s culinary offering complements the wellbeing journey with mindful dishes that emphasise fresh, local and nutritionally balanced ingredients. Food is presented not only as nourishment, but as a sensory extension of the island’s natural surroundings, strengthening the connection between body and nature.

Milaidhoo Maldives’ Global Wellness Day programme reflects the island’s philosophy of holistic living, where peace of mind is woven into every guest experience. Its intimate setting encourages reconnection with nature and self, allowing each moment to be experienced with greater intention and joy.

For those looking to continue their journey of calm and renewal beyond Global Wellness Day, Milaidhoo offers a year-round wellbeing programme centred on restoration, movement and meaningful connection.

How to Get There

Milaidhoo can be reached via a 35-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport in Malé, or by a 15-minute domestic flight to Dharavandhoo Airport in Baa Atoll, followed by a 15-minute speedboat transfer to the island.

About Milaidhoo Maldives

Milaidhoo is a boutique luxury island resort rooted in local Maldivian traditions. The resort features 50 contemporary Maldivian-style pool villas designed by a renowned Maldivian architect, each paired with a dedicated Island Host who curates personalised experiences throughout the stay.

Dining remains a highlight, with three restaurants including Ba’theli, a distinctive Maldivian dining concept built in the form of three traditional boats set above the lagoon. Inspired by the ancient maritime Spice Route, the menu celebrates the flavours and heritage of the Maldives.

As an adults-focused, child-free retreat, Milaidhoo offers a tranquil escape where guests can enjoy everything from sunset dolphin cruises to private picnics on deserted sandbanks, all within an atmosphere of barefoot luxury.
