One of fashion’s most recognisable names is about to become considerably more accessible. H&M has announced ELIE SAAB as its next designer collaborator, bringing the glamour of the Beirut-founded couture house to a new collection spanning womenswear, menswear, accessories and footwear. For shoppers in the UAE, the collection will officially arrive in selected stores and online on 22 October 2026.
It is a partnership that feels relevant to this region. Long before ELIE SAAB became synonymous with Paris couture and international red carpets, the story began in Beirut, where Elie Saab first became known for his bridal creations. He would later become one of the first international members of France’s Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, establishing a fashion house whose eveningwear has since become instantly recognisable for its intricate workmanship, femininity and unapologetic glamour.
For its collaboration with H&M, that visual language has not been left behind. The first details point towards a collection built around many of the signatures associated with ELIE SAAB: embellished gowns, shimmering separates and sharply cut tailoring, accompanied by fine lace, gradient sequins and house monograms. Footwear and accessories will complete the offering, while the inclusion of menswear takes the collaboration beyond occasion dressing and into a more complete wardrobe.

The announcement imagery offers an early indication of what is to come. Against a Parisian backdrop, evening dresses, lace, sequins and dramatic black silhouettes set a distinctly after-dark mood – glamour without attempting to dilute the identity of the house for the high street.
For H&M, designer collaborations have long occupied an interesting place in fashion. They take names normally associated with luxury price points and, for a brief period, open their design language to a much wider audience. ELIE SAAB brings another dimension to that formula. This is a house with deep cultural recognition across the Middle East, making the collection’s launch across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Egypt particularly significant.
“We are thrilled to announce this landmark collaboration with ELIE SAAB,” said Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M Creative Advisor and Head of Design Womenswear. Describing Saab’s progression “from master of bridalwear in Beirut to the centre of Paris fashion” as an extraordinary story, Johansson said customers can expect a “magical, ornate and glamourous collection.”
Elie Saab describes the collection as one created for those who have long admired the house, but perhaps the more interesting element is his description of it as “a complete wardrobe that speaks to every moment of a woman’s life.”
That distinction could make this collaboration particularly compelling. ELIE SAAB may be celebrated for gowns destined for grand entrances, weddings and red carpets, but translating those codes into pieces intended to be bought and worn by a much broader audience poses an entirely different creative exercise. How much of the fantasy can survive the transition from haute couture to the high street? The early details suggest H&M is not interested in stripping it away.
There is also something fitting about a designer whose career began in the Middle East becoming the subject of one of H&M’s global fashion collaborations while retaining a prominent regional launch. For UAE shoppers, this is not simply another international designer name arriving in stores. ELIE SAAB already carries decades of recognition here, particularly among clients for whom couture, bridalwear and elaborate evening dressing remain part of the region’s fashion vocabulary.
Come October, the appeal will be seeing how that world has been reinterpreted at an H&M price point.
The ELIE SAAB H&M collection launches on 22 October 2026 in selected H&M stores across the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and Egypt, as well as online.
